Zika and Pregnancy


Zika may sound scary, but there are some basic steps pregnant women can take to protect themselves.

Zika, a recent virus outbreak linked to birth defects and spread mostly by mosquito bites, but which can also be sexually transmitted, has been linked to a serious birth defect called microcephaly and other problems in infants. There's still a lot unknown about the virus, but The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other organizations are searching for answers.
